As one of the nation's premier performing arts venues, The Straz has an impact as boundless as the arts themselves. Since our founding less than 30 years ago, we have inspired millions with our boldly curated dance, music, and theater programming. Through the Patel Conservatory and our outreach in the broader Tampa community, we have educated hundreds of thousands of young people and adults, helping them discover and develop their own creative vision and talent, and introduced new generations to the transformative power and possibility of the arts.
And as the anchor of Tampa's cultural development, The Straz has also been a driver of Tampa's economic development, uniting public and private stakeholders in a shared vision of Tampa's potential to become a truly world-class city and forging the partnerships and finding the investment necessary to realize that potential.

Riverwalk Bistro and Stage
Investment in new facilities will inspire a new generation of arts patrons with a 21st-century performing arts experience as it provides a northern anchor for new investment in the riverfront.
Investment in additional community outreach will educate an even greater cross-section of Tampa's aspiring actors, dancers, and musicians and make our performances accessible to any Tampa citizen, regardless of income.
