Overview of the intensive:
Week 1: Masterclasses & Workshops
Kick off your journey with a series of intensive masterclasses taught by Broadway veterans and guest artists. Dig into your training and increase your skills in acting, vocal technique, movement, dance, and audition skills, all tailored to give you an insider's perspective from industry professionals. This week is designed to refine your craft and prepare you for a future in musical theater.
Weeks 2-5: The Production Phase
In the following weeks, put your newfound skills to the test as we transition into the production phase. You’ll rehearse and stage Something Rotten!, one of Broadway’s most energetic and hilarious musicals. Under the guidance of theater professionals, you’ll be part of a fully realized production process, from blocking and choreography to character development and tech rehearsals. The culmination of this intensive is a full performance on Fergueson Hall stage at Straz Center in front of a live audience, showcasing all you’ve learned.
