
The Popular Dance program is a serious structured program preparing
dancers in grades K through 12 for popular dance opportunities in areas
such as Broadway, Television, Industrials, Cruise Ships, Theme Parks and Las Vegas. The program consists of three divisions: PCPD Enrollment Division, PCPD Pre-Professional Division, PCPD/PCYB Hybrid Program.
PCPD Enrollment Division
Children are placed by age. The classes that make up the Enrollment Division are Tap Dance 1, Ages 5-7, Tap Dance 2, Ages 8-10, Tap Dance 3, Ages 10-12, Tap Dance 4, Ages 11-13, Beginning Jazz Ages 7-11.
How to Register – Students that meet the grade requirement for the enrollment division classes may sign up through the registration office without going through the dance office.
Performance Information
• Breakin’ Out (Ferguson Hall)
Fees – Non Refundable Registration Fee, Recital Fee and Yearly Tuition Fee.
Students are placed by ability. The classes that make up the Pre-Professional Division are Intermediate Contemporary, Advanced Contemporary, Intermediate Just for Kicks, Inter/Adv Just for Kicks, Advanced Just for Kicks, Accelerated Jazz and Trainee A1 Tap. Students must be enrolled in Patel Conservatory Youth Ballet or Next Generation Ballet to participate in the PCPD Pre-Professional Division.
