Veteran Civilian Arts Ensemble

Veteran Civilian Arts Ensemble (VCAE)

An artistic experience designed to provide a creative safe space where veterans active-duty personnel and their families can enter conversation with civilians fostering communication that serves to create understanding and connection. This process serves to combine the energy of camaraderie established in the military experience with the foundation of reconnection and return to community.

PRESENTATION AND DESCRIPTION
The Veteran Civilian Arts Ensemble will culminate in a theater presentation hosted at the Straz Center consisting of original writings, music, choreography, and visual art all gleaned from conversations and reflections born from the creative processes during rehearsals. A post-performance Q&A session will be held between participants and audience members.
