Many of our staff started their careers in the performing arts as interns somewhere, so we know the value of an internship to get a foot in the door and a leg up in the working world. That’s why the Straz Center is proud to provide internships to qualified college students who want hands-on experience within their fields of study. Straz interns get professional experience, mentoring and serious responsibilities in their work load and workplace expectations. Our goal is to offer a well-rounded experience that gives our interns skills and knowledge that will directly impact their desirability for a company or organization in their field.

Summer Theater Internship Program

The Patel Conservatory Theater Internship is designed to develop emerging theater professionals and act as a bridge to the theater industry. Focused in education and production, Theater Interns gain hands-on experience leading students through a production process and training the next generation of theater artists. Summer internships at the Straz Center provide an incredible opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals as interns continue to build their professional network.
SUMMER MUSIC INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Summer Music Internship at the Patel Conservatory is a unique and enriching experience designed for passionate and talented individuals seeking to immerse themselves in the world of music education and performance. Interns in Strings, Piano, and Voice have the opportunity to work closely with experienced music educators, performers, and administrators, gaining valuable insights into various facets of music education and arts management.

SUMMER APPLICATION TIMELINE
All interested candidates must complete an online application at https://strazcenter.applicantpro.com/jobs/ in order to be considered.

Applications Open: January 6, 2025
Applications Close: March 7, 2025
Offers Extended by April 4, 2025

Orientation: Selected candidates must be available for Orientation and Training on Tues, May 27, 2025 and available to start work the week of June 2, 2025.

Last Day of Internship: August 1-2, 2025
